What Is Heads Will Roll?

Heads Will Roll is Thunderkick's first crash game, released in September 2025. It is set in a dark underground vault with a medieval execution theme. Instead of a rising multiplier, the game uses a dice-based ladder. Each roll of the die has three possible outcomes: level up, Fate Mode, or game over. Level up moves you one step higher on the prize ladder and increases your potential cashout. Game over ends the round immediately with no win. Fate Mode replaces the standard die with one that climbs faster but carries a higher game-over risk. Four difficulty modes let you choose your risk level before each round. The max win ranges from 35x on Easy to 2,400x on Brutal. For another step-based crash game, read our King Kong Crash Climber Review. How Heads Will Roll Works

Choose your difficulty mode before the round starts: Easy, Medium, Hard or Brutal. Place your bet. The die rolls and the outcome is revealed. Level up moves you one step up the ladder. Game over ends the round with no win. If Fate Mode is triggered, the standard die is replaced by a special die that can climb multiple steps at once but has a higher chance of game over. You can cash out at any point after a successful level up. Once you reach within one or two steps of the top multiplier, the All or Nothing round triggers automatically. At this point there is no cash-out option. The die has just two outcomes: win the top multiplier or game over. Each difficulty tier has its own ladder structure, multiplier ceiling and game-over probability. Higher difficulty means higher potential wins and higher risk of early game over.

RTP and Volatility

The RTP ranges from 93.21% on Easy to 97.59% on Brutal. This is one of the more unusual RTP structures in crash games. Most games have a fixed RTP no matter how you play. In Heads Will Roll, choosing a harder difficulty directly improves your long-term return rate. Brutal mode at 97.59% is competitive with Red Baron and JetX. Easy mode at 93.21% is below average for the genre. Volatility follows the same pattern. Easy is low volatility with frequent small wins. Brutal is high volatility with rare large wins and frequent total losses. Start on Easy or Medium until you understand the ladder structure.

RTP is calculated over millions of rounds. Your individual session can vary a lot. Always set a budget before you play.

What Makes Heads Will Roll Different

Most crash games use a multiplier curve that climbs while you pick a cash-out moment. Heads Will Roll breaks that flow into clear dice outcomes on a ladder. Fate Mode and the All or Nothing finale add extra risk layers you do not see on a standard curve crash. The four preset difficulties also make the risk profile obvious before you bet.

Strategy Tips

Choose your difficulty based on your session budget. If you have a smaller budget, Easy or Medium gives more frequent wins and less variance. If you have a larger budget and can absorb losing streaks, Hard or Brutal gives better long-term RTP. Always cash out before the All or Nothing round if the multiplier already represents a meaningful win. Once the All or Nothing round triggers you have no choice. It is all or nothing. Set a session budget and stick to it. For broader bankroll tips read our Crash Game Strategy Guide. Compare welcome offers on our Best Crash Game Bonuses and Best Crash Gambling Sites UK pages.
